Board of Directors Special Meeting

Jasper County Emergency Services

December 19^th, 2023

Chairman Harrison called the meeting to order 12:01 p.m. via a conference call 605-472-5107 Access Code 7248612# as per public notice. In addition to Chairman Harrison, Dan Stanley, Greg Dagnan, Bill Hawkins, and Carl Francis.

Representing staff – Office Support Clerk (OSC) Amber Madison, Interim Executive Director (IED) Brandon McClintock, and Systems Manager (SM) Steven Williams.

Jasper County Emergency Services Executive Director Open Position

Chairman Harrison stated that Director Dagnan has the contract ready for approval.

Director Francis joined the meeting via conference call at 12:02pm.

Director Dagnan advised the Board that the changes to the contract have been made along with the vacation hours stipulation that she would not be able to carry over more than 128 hours each year. Director Dagnan stated that he has not heard back from our Attorney Frank Flaspohler to approve the contract. Director Francis stated not to wait for the Attorney’s approval.  

Director Stanley motioned to offer Lisa McCool-Rataczak the Executive Director position with the contract as presented with a start date of January 8^th, 2024. Director Francis seconded the motion. Vote: 5-0. The motion was adopted.

Director Dagnan will prepare a press release.

At 12:07pm the meeting was adjourned.

The next Board Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 9^th, 2024, at 12:00 p.m.
